Modern Minimalist L House by Philippe Steubi Architects

This modern minimalist L House design is a great house design located in Bakus,Zurich and was projected by Philippe Steubi Architekten GMBH. The concept of this minimalist L House design was to string together the requested spaces to one movement going through the house: stretching, extending, narrowing, grinding out form the mass, to a coherant sequence of spaces according to the principle of the enfilade.



Words from the architect:
"The three-sided glazing of the library in the ground floor is mirrored-glass. Depending upon time of day and lighting conditions you can see the stored books or the reflected graden. The uppper floors are implemented in bright lime rendering and the glazings in nature-anodized aluminium."



'This expressive volumetry is a result of the particular form of the plot and the requirement of the constuctor to place a maximal volume on the plot. The space allocation plan was incorporated in this scuptural body by the method of hollow out.



Each room receives its completely specific character in size and form (conical entry area with wardrobe and guest WC., large cubic double-storey entrance hall, triangular loggia as color area, double-storey inside rounded library which is downstairs three sided glazed , etc.) so that when entering and going through the house various and surprising space experiences occur.The ground floor walls consists of large washed-out concrete elements (white carrara marble balls with white cement) which are interupted by space-high glazings.'

Modern Interior of Bloom House by Gregg Lynn

Architects Greg Lynn has finishes his first residential project called "Bloom House’. This residential and interior design project that was build for a film and television director. The Bloom house exterior has a simple composition of straight lines constructed in concrete. Upon entering this Los Angeles home, however, one finds that the interior is a radical departure from the minimalist exterior.



The architects of this beautiful residential project 'Greg Lynn' had explored architecture theoretically and through temporary exhibitions. This first physical realization of his work is especially impressive when judged by interior spaces, which employ deliberately distorted surfaces. These undulating surfaces appear everywhere, from the walls, to the furniture, to the lighting fixtures. The interior is stark and white, with bright pops of color in the form of artwork and furniture upholstery.



Greg Lynn managed to create an intriguing piece of architecture that shields its true nature from the casual passerby. The only hint is part of a curved, yellow fiberglass light fixture that illuminates the porch. The fixture continues inside and, in following the nature of the house, expands into an intricate sculpture.

Carapicuiba House by Angelo Bucci and Alvaro Puntoni

Architects Angelo Bucci, Alvaro Puntoni has designed a place to both live and work called Carapicuiba House which is located in in topographical terms. From the street, we cannot clearly see its ground level because the ground surface falls abruptly into a little valley and woods: a stage 6 m below and the exact location of this Home Office Design is in Carapicuíba, SP, Brazil.



The house is divided into two levels, both below the street level. Its spaces are integrated with the woods, valley, gardens, and pool located at the ground level. The house incorporates the outside nature indoors: a sliding glass door opens the living room into the terrace,creating one large space. The bedroom and the patios can also be integrated at the lower level.



From the street level, the office is located upstairs. Its dimensions, 3 m wide and 25 m long, making it look like a tube open at both extremities. Therefore, the windows offer new views: more landscape than patios, and more panoramic than an intimate space.



The “tube” only rests over two columns. Reinforced concrete supports the whole building. Besides its materials, concrete and glass, this house is essentially designed based on the site’s geography and landscape. So few elements mean more concentration on the required work during its construction process. It makes it easier to control the budget and it help us focus on the necessary steps to build the house.

Yellow Treehouse Restaurant Australia by Pacific Environments Architects

Yellow Treehouse natural restaurant design concepts that was build by Pacific Environments Architects for the Yellow Pages. This natural treetop restaurant stands 10 meters up a redwood tree in a forest near Warkworth, north of Auckland, New Zealand. This Yellow Treehouse restaurant was built in 2008 - 2009. The concept of this cool restaurant design is driven by the ‘enchanted’ site which is raised above an open meadow and meandering stream on the edge of the woods.



The tree-house concept is reminiscent of childhood dreams and playtime, fairy stories of enchantment and imagination . It’s inspired through many forms found in nature -the chrysalis/cocoon protecting the emerging butterfly/moth, perhaps an onion/garlic clove form hung out to dry. It is also seen as a lantern, a beacon at night that simply glows yet during the day it might be a semi camouflaged growth, or a tree fort that provides an outlook and that offers refuge.The plan form also has loose similarities to a sea shell with the open ends spiralling to the centre.



As it was built on private land, only those with a reservation were let in on the tree house location. Although the restaurant was only open for bookings between 9 January to 9 February 2009, the Redwood Forest team are now making plans to re-open the venue to the public.

Modern House Kempeneers | Klaarchitectuur

House Kempeneers is located in rural environment in Borgloom, Belgium. Designed by Klaarchitectuur, This one person modern private house design is sits non-perpendicularly with the street which inspired the architects to go with the shape of a parallelogram. The house kempeneers takes 1 year for construction and was completely built on 2005 with 350 square meter or 3,770 square feet for its ground floor area and 120 square meter or 1,290 square feet for the first floor.



Exterior spaces, like patio and covered terrace, are enclosed inside the fort-like structure. On the contrary, the inside surprises with open spaces, copious natural light, and continuous interaction between the inside and the outside.
